A few things worth knowing.

Which redirects are followed?

301, 302, 303, 307 and 308 with Location, up to ten redirects. Each public destination is validated again. We do not run JavaScript or follow meta refresh.

Can I test HTTP and HTTPS?

Yes, on standard ports 80 and 443. An HTTPS-to-HTTP hop is flagged as a loss of encryption. Avoid links with passwords, private data or account actions.

Will Google interpret it exactly this way?

This check sends GET requests without your session. Responses can vary by location, browser and cookies. It does not promise indexing or rankings.
