Checking your connection…
One moment. We’re looking up your public IP.
Your browser contacts ipify over HTTPS to identify the public IP it receives. This may be your network’s address, a proxy or a VPN exit address. This tool does not show your location or confirm whether a VPN is active.
One address, a few practical uses. Choose your next step and get on with what you need to do.

Use the address in an access rule when the service administrator asks for it. Confirm their instructions before changing any rules.
Switched from Wi-Fi to mobile data or reconnected? Run another lookup to see the address observed now.

Yes. It depends on your provider and connection type. Switching networks or reconnecting may change the address, though not always. Use “Check again” to run a fresh lookup.
They are two versions of the internet addressing protocol. IPv4 uses numbers separated by dots; IPv6 uses groups of letters and numbers separated by colons. A connection may support one version or both.
Access to the IPv6 service may be unavailable or blocked. A failed request alone does not prove that your network has no IPv6. You can retry or check IPv4.
No. It shows the address received by the lookup service. A VPN or proxy may change that address, but this lookup does not confirm VPN protection and is not a complete leak test.
Not necessarily. To find that address, check the domain’s A and AAAA records using a DNS tool or your hosting panel. The result here belongs to the connection your browser uses.
